Loomis runs from small porches off Taylor Road to four-acre lots out toward Folsom Lake, so a Loomis Christmas light installation can be a two-hour job or a full day. We plan every one the same way: a phone call, a few photos, a written list of what goes where, and then the install. Nothing gets decided on the roof.
The Phone Call and the Photos
You call (916) 570-9568 and describe the property, and the estimate is free and done by phone. We work through it in a fixed order: roofline first, then trees and fences, then the drive and walkways, and power last. If the place has acreage or a long approach, we’ll ask you to text a few pictures: one from the road, one of the front of the house, and one of wherever your outdoor outlets are. From those we count the runs, note the peaks and gables, and work out how the display will read from the road, since on a big lot that’s where most people will see it from.
Loomis Christmas Light Installation, From Taylor Road to the Big Lots
We group the work by area so a crew can stay on one side of town for the day. Each area comes with its own habits.
Downtown Loomis. The houses near Taylor Road have short rooflines and a lot of front porches, so lit garland on the railings and one wreath by the entry carry most of the look. Older fascia and gutters get checked before any clip goes up, and we’ll tell you if a run should skip a soft spot.
Around Lemos Ranch Drive. These are family houses that fit a standard plan well: a full roofline run, a couple of tree wraps, and stake lights along the front walk. It’s the most predictable job in town, which is why it books fast.
Sterling Pointe. Big houses on lots of one to more than four acres near Folsom Lake. More gables and longer eaves mean the ladder work on tall entries gets planned ahead, step by step. There’s an HOA, so check your guidelines before install day and send them over if you have them. Clos du Lac, right next door, gets planned the same day, since the approaches are long and the crew is already out that way.
Monte Claire. Large custom homes that sit back from the street. The display has to read from a distance, so we usually suggest the front roofline, pillar wraps on the entry columns, and the trees along the approach, instead of trying to cover every side of the house.
Around Arcadia Avenue. The streets near Sunrise Loomis Park are a more typical neighborhood setup, and we pair them with a downtown day.
Getting Cords Out to the Gate
An outlet on the garage can be a long way from the oak you want wrapped at the end of the drive, so every cord run is on our list before install day, routed along edges and never across the gravel where trucks roll. Long drives get stakes set evenly beside the edge, between the sprinkler heads, and the timers are set so the house, the trees and the drive all come on together. More on larger homes is on our residential installation page.
Questions Loomis Homeowners Ask
Do I have to buy the lights?
No. The lights, clips, timers and ladders are ours, and every strand is tested before it leaves the shop.
Can you light just the entrance or the gate?
Yes. Some acreage owners only want the front gate, the pillars at the entry and the first stretch of the drive. That’s a perfectly good plan, and it’s a short install.
What if a section goes out in December?
Call (916) 570-9568 and tell us which part went dark. A crew member stops by on the next service trip out your way and gets it lit again. A storm pulls a clip free now and then, and fixing that is on us.
When does the display come down?
In January. We remove every strand, wrap, stake, wreath and piece of garland and take it all with us, so nothing is left on the roof into spring.
Booking a Loomis Install
Loomis sits between towns we already work in, so it’s rarely a special trip. We pair it with installs in Rocklin and Penryn, and the south side of town lines up with our Granite Bay routes. A call to (916) 570-9568 puts you on the calendar, or send your address and a photo from the road through the contact page and we’ll call you with a number.
